Job summary

Roche is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer to join Roche Digital Technology. You will own cloud solutions from design through implementation, focusing on EKS, Bedrock, CI/CD, and secure networking. This hands-on role emphasizes scaling, security, and observability across production workloads.

You’ll collaborate with security, architecture, and application teams while staying close to the technology. Hybrid work is available with two days in the office on average.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing AWS solutions.
• Deep knowledge of Amazon EKS and Kubernetes in production.
• Experience with AWS Bedrock for generative AI workloads.
• Proficiency with AWS CDK and infrastructure as code.
• Solid understanding of AWS networking, security and IAM.
• Experience building automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with CloudWatch and observability tools.
• Familiarity with serverless architectures and AWS Lambda.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot production cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end AWS solutions translating requirements into secure, scalable architectures.
• Build and operate EKS environments and Kubernetes workloads with proper networking and security.
• Leverage AWS Bedrock for generative AI workloads and secure integration.
• Create reusable infrastructure components using AWS CDK and IaC best practices.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD and/or GitHub Actions).
• Design AWS networking architectures including VPCs, subnets, DNS, and load balancing.
• Embed security by design with IAM, least-privilege access and key management.
• Implement robust logging, monitoring and observability for production environments.
