Job summary

Sii Poland in Kraków is seeking an experienced Tech Lead to guide the design and development of backend services and APIs, contributing to frontend components using Java, Spring, React.js, and TypeScript in a hybrid mode.

You will work in an Agile environment, leading technical teams, delivering end-to-end features, and ensuring production readiness with strong testing, logging, and observability. Docker/Kubernetes and Cloud services are part of the role.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in enterprise application development with backend focus
• Deep expertise in Java and Spring Framework (Boot, Data, REST, Security)
• Hands-on with microservices and event-driven systems
• Frontend contribution with React.js and TypeScript
• Strong automated testing with JUnit and mocks
• Docker and Kubernetes for containerization
• Cloud services development with Swagger/OpenAPI
• Experience in Agile/Scrum using JIRA/Confluence
• Fluent English
• Willing to work from Kraków office twice a week

Responsibilities

• Lead technical teams and provide guidance on best practices
• Design and build backend services and APIs with Java and Spring
• Deliver end-to-end features, with frontend work in React/TypeScript as needed
• Implement microservices and API contracts
• Build integrations using event-driven architecture
• Develop workflow capabilities and integrate into services
• Ensure production readiness with logging, error handling, resilience, observability
• Drive quality via unit/integration testing and code scanning
• Containerize applications and deploy with Docker and Kubernetes
• Work in an Agile (Scrum) model and document processes in Confluence/Wiki
