Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking an experienced Java Tech Lead to shape technical solutions, guide the development team, and ensure delivery of high‑quality software products. The role blends hands-on coding with technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and aligning technical work with business goals.

Responsibilities include driving architecture, leading design discussions, and ensuring scalable backend services with REST APIs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering with Java.
• Experience as Technical Lead / Lead Developer or similar with mentoring responsibilities.
• Strong Java 17+ and Spring Boot expertise.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, and RESTful API design.
• Fluent in English and Polish; hybrid work with office presence 3 days/week; resident in Poland.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design discussions and drive architectural decisions across the team.
• Evaluate and propose scalable, maintainable, and high-performance solutions.
• Provide technical guidance to developers throughout the SDLC.
• Design and develop backend services and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Perform hands-on coding for complex features and critical system components.
• Support production releases and ensure platform stability.
