Job summary

Ericsson Poland in Kraków is seeking a dedicated Test Engineer to help maintain high standards of software quality in BCSS R&D. You will perform system tests, analyze issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve test environments.

The role requires hands-on experience with IP networks, Unix/Linux, Docker/Kubernetes, and Agile tools like JIRA/Confluence, plus strong communication and Polish/English skills. Hybrid work in Kraków offers 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in manual or automated testing.
• Very good knowledge of IP systems/networks and IP-based routing in an embedded environment.
• At least 2 years of experience in Unix/Linux and knowledge of Git.
• Knowledge in Containerization and usage of Docker and/or Kubernetes.
• Knowledge and understanding of Agile project methodologies and management tools (e.g., Jira & Confluence).
• Education: Master or bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent formal education.
• At least B2 Polish and English (both written and spoken).
• Very good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Willing to work in hybrid model in our office in Krakow. 3 days in office and 2 days from home weekly.

The skills you bring

• Knowledge of the topics like software quality, testing process, type of tests, product lifecycle, bug reporting (ISTQB Foundation or equivalent certification will be an additional advantage),
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in manual or automated testing,
• Very good knowledge of IP systems/networks, it is essential to comprehend IP protocols and IP-based routing in an embedded environment,
• At least 2 years of experience in Unix/Linux competencies and knowledge of GIT,
• Knowledge in Containerization and usage of Docker and/or Kubernetes,
• Knowledge and understanding of Agile project methodologies and management tools (e.g., JIRA & Confluence),
• Good knowledge of telecommunication systems (3G, 4G, 5G) would be an advantage,
• Analytical thinking skills, ability to learn quickly, collaboration and high level of communication skills,
• Education: Master or bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent formal education,
• At least B2 Polish and English (both written and spoken),
• Very good interpersonal and teamwork skills,

• Willing to work in hybrid model in our office in Krakow. This is a hybrid model role - 3 days from the office and 2 days from home weekly.
