Job summary

Join Ericsson Lodz as a Junior Baseband Tester in a cutting-edge L1 Software Development team. You’ll validate, troubleshoot, and integrate Baseband features across Radio products, using Moshell and Python in a multi‑platform lab environment.

You will work on 5G/NR testing, regression testing, and cross‑functional QA tasks, contributing to agile DevOps workflows and ongoing technical innovation.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent telecom experience.
• Some experience in LTE, NR/5G, and wireless air interfaces with end-to-end testing.
• Knowledge of Moshell and Ericsson RAN troubleshooting tools.
• Proficiency in Python; familiarity with QA in stability, robustness, and resilience.
• Basic knowledge of signaling, protocol layers, and RF testing.
• Experience planning lab setups and producing high-quality test reports.
• Debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Working knowledge of UNIX and Windows environments.
• Passion for software development, problem-solving, and knowledge sharing.

Responsibilities

Within the L1 Software Development team in the Product Engineering Group RU Baseband Software, we are dedicated to designing and implementing Physical Layer Baseband functions for our Radio products. Our goal is to maintain Ericsson’s leadership in the market by delivering cutting‑edge L1 solutions across diverse deployment scenarios, frequency bands, radio platforms and 3GPP/ORAN standards.

We are currently looking for a curious, driven professionals with a passion for innovation to join our outstanding Radio Baseband software team in Lodz as Junior Baseband Tester.

Your Role

In this role, you’ll engage with cutting‑edge technology playing a key role in the testing and integration of functionalities on our various Radio variants for 5G and soon 6G deployments.

What you will do

You will bring

• Master’s degree in a relevant field, or relevant industry experience in telecom or related areas, preferably focused on feature testing.
• Some experience in LTE, NR/5G, and wireless air interfaces, including end‑to‑end feature testing (e.g., gNodeB and UE integration).
• Knowledge of Moshell and other Ericsson RAN troubleshooting tools.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with QA areas such as stability, robustness, and resilience.
• Basic knowledge of signaling, and protocol layers, plus RF testing.
• Some experience in planning lab setups, designing/executing test plans, analyzing data, and producing high‑quality test reports.
• Debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.
• Working knowledge of UNIX and Windows environments.
• Passion for software development, problem‑solving, and sharing technical know‑how.
• Excellent written/verbal communication, interpersonal, time management, and multitasking abilities.
• Able to thrive in a fast‑paced, agile setting, keeping up with emerging industry trends and delivering complex solutions on time with quality.
