Job summary

RED Global is seeking a skilled Windows Systems Engineer to manage and enhance enterprise Windows Server environments. The role focuses on OS hardening, patch management, and proactive health monitoring in a hybrid, international setting.

You will implement automation (PowerShell) to streamline workflows, participate in server migrations and DR planning, and work with vendors on lifecycle management. The position offers a stable contract and hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

Job description

We are looking for a skilled Windows Systems Engineer.

Responsibilities:

• Manage, maintain, and enhance enterprise server operating systems and core platform services.
• Monitor OS health, performance, capacity, and security baseline metrics, taking proactive remediation actions.
• Install, configure, patch, and harden server environments in line with corporate compliance and security policies.
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis (RCA) for complex OS and infrastructure-related incidents.
• Oversee backup, disaster recovery, patching schedules, and ensure complete, up-to-date technical documentation.
• Provide hands‑on technical expertise for server migrations, system upgrades, and strategic infrastructure projects.
• Drive operational efficiency by automating repetitive tasks (scripting) and modernizing deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with key technology vendors and service providers on technical escalations and lifecycle management.

Skills Required:

• Solid, hands‑on experience in enterprise Windows Server administration, OS hardening, patch management, and lifecycle support.
• Certification / deep practical knowledge aligned with AZ-800 (Administering Windows Server Hybrid Core Infrastructure) and/or AZ-801 (Configuring Windows Server Hybrid Advanced Services).
• Strong understanding of server virtualization, infrastructure dependencies, backup & recovery, and disaster recovery (DR) concepts.
• Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell) to streamline recurring administrative workflows.
• Awareness of emerging AI-driven tools and automation trends within infrastructure operations.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and a clear focus on end‑user experience and operational continuity.
• Excellent cross‑functional collaboration and communication skills in an international, English‑speaking environment.
