Job summary

ALTEN Polska is seeking a skilled Supplier Quality Engineer to oversee APQP/PPAP processes with automotive suppliers. You will collaborate with SQEs to assess risks, drive launch readiness, and ensure quality milestones are met.

Strong knowledge of FMEA, Control Plans, SPC/MSA, and audits is essential. The role is on-site in Gliwice or Lozorno, offering a full-time contract, a clear career path, and opportunities to relocate within ALTEN Polska branches.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Experience in Supplier Quality, APQP, and PPAP processes.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive quality standards and supplier quality management practices.
  • Experience in project management within a manufacturing or automotive environment.
  • Understanding of quality tools such as FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, and Process Audits.
  • Knowledge of OEM quality requirements and automotive industry standards.
  • Experience with supplier audits and process validation activities.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • English proficiency (minimum B2/C1 level) required.
  • German language skills will be considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the APQP process with suppliers to ensure smooth product launches.
  • Coordinate and drive PPAP activities using the supplier portal.
  • Collaborate with Plant SQEs to identify and mitigate launch risks.
  • Develop and implement supplier risk mitigation plans for on-time delivery.
  • Monitor APQP deliverables such as plans, FMEA, control plans, and run@rate.
  • Track and report supplier APQP/PPAP progress to program buyers and managers.
  • Validate ISAR with suppliers and conduct supplier process audits as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) process with suppliers to ensure smooth, non-event product launches in line with OEM and company-specific requirements.
  • Coordinate and drive PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) activities to successful completion using the supplier portal.
  • Collaborate closely with Plant Supplier Quality Engineers (SQE) to identify, assess, and mitigate launch risks.
  • Develop and implement supplier risk mitigation plans to ensure on-time project delivery.
  • Monitor and review APQP deliverables, including:
  • Feasibility commitments
  • APQP plans
  • Measurement and control plans
  • Product and Process FMEA
  • Validation plans
  • Run@Rate activities
  • Acceptance and appearance approval reports
  • Checking fixture concepts and R&R studies
  • Analyze initial production samples and oversee supplier part history tracking.
  • Drive convergence activities for critical safety, fit, and functional characteristics.
  • Ensure OEM-specific Significant Characteristics (SC) and Critical Characteristics (CC) are properly cascaded to suppliers and incorporated into FMEAs and control plans.
  • Support mountability and packaging validation activities, including build trials.
  • Lead supplier Run@Rate assessments to confirm manufacturing capacity and process capability.
  • Conduct supplier process audits as part of risk mitigation plans, including OEM-specific assessments such as VDA 6.3 where applicable.
  • Track and report supplier APQP and PPAP progress, providing regular status updates to Program Buyers, Supplier Program Managers, and Plant SQEs.
  • Validate ISAR (Initial Samples Acceptance Reports) with suppliers.
Key Performance Indicators:
  • On-time PPAP completion
  • On-time APQP deliverables

  • Successful green (non-event) product launches
Requirements:
