  • Participate in development of market data controls by proposing ideas and increasing efficiency.
  • Interact with internal consumers for market data and control departments to understand demand and deliver solutions.

We are looking for a student that want to complement your university studies with a part time student job within international finance. Job duration is minimum 1.5 years.

About our team

Meet the Market Data Management & Control team. Our role is to ensure Nordea is using the correct market data when servicing our customers and valuing our holdings.

Our team is part of Group Finance, consist of ten people and are responsible for the prices and rates that are used within Nordea whenever a report on valuation of holdings is to be produced. The job will give an unique opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of market data used for the valuation of financial instruments and derivatives.

We are located in Copenhagen and in Warsaw, and it is in Warsaw the job opening is.

What you’ll be doing
Main responsibilities in this role:
  • Managing the quality, controlling and distribution of market data
  • Follow-up and analyze controls on a daily basis through extensive interaction with internal stake holders (Trading, IT, Risk organization, Finance organization etc.)
  • Participate in the continuous development of controls of market data by proposing new ideas and increasing efficiency
  • Interact with internal consumers for market data, control departments and other stakeholders to understand the demand of the consumer and turn that into effective solutions
Who you are

Your background and skills include:
  • You are studying a bachelor or master program in finance, engineering or mathematics (or similar)
  • You have at least 1.5 years left of your studies
  • You have a great interest in the financial markets and the valuation of financial instruments and financial derivatives and want to learn as much as possible about this
  • You are an excellent Excel user and have a strong interest in programming (SQL and Python)
  • You are available in late afternoons: 15:00 – 18:00 (3PM-6PM)
It would be ideal if you also:
  • You have excellent communication skills and speak and write English at a professional level
  • You are reliable and committed during periods of increased work load
