Job summary

DS Smith is seeking an IT Business Analyst SAP FICO to provide functional SAP FI/CO support across EMEA with emphasis on profitability analysis, product costing and cost management. The role partners with Finance, Controlling, SAP teams and external tech partners to ensure effective, compliant solutions.

You will drive requirements gathering, translate business needs into clear functional specs, coordinate testing and deployments, and ensure governance and documentation are maintained throughout

Qualifications

• SAP FI/CO experience with CO-PA and product costing.
• Experience in cost centre and profit centre accounting.
• Experience coordinating functional, integration and user acceptance testing.
• Fluency in English.
• Experience in international or matrix-managed organisations.

Responsibilities

• Provide functional support across SAP FI and CO.
• Investigate incidents and coordinate resolution.
• Support month-end and year-end activities with SAP input.
• Monitor solution performance and identify improvements.
• Maintain system and process documentation.
• Support CO-PA/product costing and internal orders.
• Assist costing and profitability reporting, settlements, and reconciliations.
• Analyse issues affecting cost flows and profitability information.
• Coordinate testing: functional, integration and regression.
• Support user acceptance testing, deployments and upgrades.
• Ensure changes follow governance processes.
• Engage with Finance, Controlling and SAP teams and partners.
• Communicate progress, risks and dependencies to stakeholders.
