Job summary

Hitachi Energy Kraków is seeking a Project Controller to drive financial and commercial success across complex projects. You will partner with project managers, operations, and engineering to deliver robust financial plans, cash flow optimization, and risk management while ensuring governance and regulatory compliance.

The role integrates finance with operations, supporting commercial decisions and project execution.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Project Controlling or related roles.
• Strong understanding of project accounting, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Fluent in English; German B2/C1 preferred for project meetings.

Responsibilities

• Partner with project managers and stakeholders to provide financial guidance.
• Develop and manage project financial execution plans including revenue, cash flow and taxation considerations.
• Drive project performance by optimizing cash flow, profitability and working capital.
• Lead project governance, risk assessment, and cost-to-complete analyses.
• Coordinate reviews and ensure accurate forecasts and financial performance alignment.
• Support contract execution, claims management, and commercial negotiations.
• Monitor FX exposure, guarantees, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-based decisions and project outcomes.
• Mentor project team members and promote accountability and safety.
