Job summary

T5 Data Centers seeks a Finance Project Controls professional to own financial and contractual authority on construction projects, ensuring alignment between budget, commitments, contract terms, and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

The role acts as a strategic partner to Operations, providing financial oversight, risk identification, and commercial guidance while maintaining audit compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or project management required.
• 4–8 years’ experience in a similar role required.
• MBA is a plus or can be applied toward experience.

Responsibilities

• Financial accuracy and reporting integrity.
• Contract compliance and enforceability.
• Budget control and forecasting.
• Transparent communication across stakeholders.
• Review of all project contracts with PM and Operations Leadership prior to execution.
• Set up and structure of projects in Procore to include budgets and cost codes, SOV, and commitments.
• Oversight of budget throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintaining budgets, contract values, commitments, and change orders.
• Identify gaps in budget, cost misalignments, and unsupported values.
• Track actuals vs budget, commitments vs remaining, forecast to completion; review for cost overruns and risks.
• Document and oversee financial policies and processes for customer deliverables.
• Validate invoices tied to approved commitments.
• Ensure all documentation is complete (Pay apps, lien waivers, storage docs).
• Coordinate Owner Pay Applications with Prime Contract SOV and costs.
• Prepare and review monthly execution reports with operations leadership.
• Assist with process improvement, automation, systems integration and enhancement projects.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
