Job summary

Konecranes is seeking a Steel Structure Supervisor to join our global Ports Solutions team. The role will involve on-site supervision of crane manufacturing processes across Poland and abroad, with extensive travel and a focus on safety, quality, and timing.

You will interpret technical drawings, coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors, and report progress to the project team. English proficiency and a proactive, communicative mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Frequent business travel in Poland and abroad (EMEA/APAC).
• Mechanical Engineer degree or equivalent; IWE/IWI asset.
• Strong mechanical/manufacturing engineering orientation.
• English good professional level for business use.
• Polish communicative.
• 2+ years in steel structures manufacturing.
• Proactive with initiative; able to build relationships with suppliers, customers, colleagues.
• Knowledge of technical drawings and documentation.
• Driving licence.

Responsibilities

• On-site supervising of crane manufacturing processes and factory activities.
• Act as Konecranes representative on site and ensure safety practices.
• Monitor schedules, communicate with the project team and report progress.
• Ensure product manufacture aligns with specifications and drawings; maintain quality.
• Guide and coordinate subcontractors; clarify technical questions as needed.
• Report progress, quality and safety issues, and non-conformances to the project team.

Due to business development, we are currently looking for a new colleague who will join our Team acting as

Steel Structure Supervisor (she/he)

The person will be working in multiple locations in Poland and globally.

This job requires flexibility due to extensive travelling.

Scope of responsibilities:

Supervisor Ports Solutions PL would act as Konecranes representative in the Ports Supply organization, performing factory/on-site supervising of the crane manufacturing processes, with main duties mentioned below:

• Acting as the Konecranes representative on site,
• Ensuring that the work is done according to safety practices and laws,
• Monitoring the schedules, communicating, and reporting to project team,
• Ensuring the manufacture of the product in accordance with the specification and drawings,
• Ensuring that the specified quality of the product is fulfilled,
• Guiding Subcontractor’s activities,
• Assisting Subcontractor in clarifying technical questions,
• Reporting about progress of work, quality, and safety related issues,
• Reporting on manufacturing non-conformance

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Open to frequent business travelling in Poland and abroad (including EMEA and APAC regions)
• Mechanical Engineer degree or similar, IWE/IWI qualifications will be regarded as an asset!
• Good technical orientation in mechanical/manufacturing engineering
• English - good professional level (daily use in writing and speaking in business environment)
• Polish - communicative
• Preferably at least 2 years of experience in steel structures manufacturing,
• Proactivity and initiative in actions,
• "Can do" attitude and ability to build good relationships with suppliers, customers, and colleagues,
• Knowledge and understanding of technical drawings and documentation,
• Driving licence
