Job summary

CoreWeave's Staff Software Engineer will serve as a principal technical leader, driving the Kubernetes-native orchestration strategy for massive AI workloads across our global GPU footprint. You will own the technical vision, defining admission, scheduling, and governance mechanisms with frameworks like Kueue, Volcano, and Ray.

You will lead cross-team architecture reviews, drive reliability and capacity management, and establish platform-wide standards while mentoring senior engineers across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience in distributed systems or cloud platforms.
• Strong Go development skills for large-scale production systems.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes internals, scheduling, CRDs, and controller-based architectures.
• Experience leading cross-team architecture reviews and driving reliability at scale.
• Ability to mentor senior engineers and drive platform standards.

Responsibilities

• Own technical vision and architecture for major portions of the platform.
• Define how AI workloads are admitted, scheduled, and governed across large GPU clusters.
• Lead cross-team architecture reviews and align across infrastructure and managed inference teams.
• Establish platform-wide standards for reliability and developer experience.
• Mentor senior engineers across the organisation.
