Job summary

CoreWeave in Kraków is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the Cluster Orch (Non SUNK) team to drive the Kubernetes-native orchestration strategy across large GPU clusters. You will own the technical vision and architecture for major portions of the platform, focusing on admission, scheduling, and governance of AI workloads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with deep technical expertise in distributed systems or cloud platforms.
• Strong proficiency in Go, with track record designing large-scale production systems.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes internals, scheduling mechanisms, CRDs, and controller-based architectures.
• Experience designing, scaling, or evolving orchestration, scheduling, or hardware resource-management platforms.
• Proven ability to lead high-impact technical initiatives across multiple distributed engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical vision and architecture for major portions of the platform that governs AI workload admission and scheduling across large GPU clusters.
• Lead cross-team architecture reviews and drive alignment across infrastructure teams, CKS, and managed inference groups.
• Mentor senior engineers and establish platform-wide standards for reliability and capacity management.
• Define and evolve Kubernetes-native orchestration strategies using frameworks such as Kueue, Volcano, and Ray.
