CloudLinux’s TuxCare Staff Engineers role focuses on deep technical execution and technical product ownership, combining 70% hands-on software engineering and 30% product ownership. You will lead major components for KernelCare and SecureChain, clarifying requirements, designing solutions, and delivering features end-to-end.

Qualifications

• Proven experience owning major projects, products, systems, or workstreams end-to-end.
• Strong hands-on Python development experience.
• Strong hands-on Linux experience in production environments.
• Strong system design and architectural thinking with hands-on implementation.
• Experience turning broad needs into technical plans and milestones.
• Strong technical product ownership aligned with business goals.
• Ability to work independently without close supervision.
• Strong communication with engineering and cross-functional teams.
• Regular use of AI-assisted development tools in planning, debugging, or code review.
• Curiosity and adaptability in cybersecurity and complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Own major product components and workstreams throughout their lifecycle from discovery to production release.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and sales to gather and clarify requirements.
• Translate goals into technical plans, milestones, and tasks.
• Design scalable architecture and make high-impact technical decisions.
• Build, review, and maintain production-grade components end-to-end with reliability and security.
• Ensure ownership of delivered components in production and evolution.
• Track progress and communicate blockers, risks, and dependencies.
• Research technologies and market approaches when needed.
• Contribute to engineering quality via design reviews and mentorship.
• Use AI-assisted tools as part of development workflow.
