Job summary

AxisKey is hiring a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close for U.S. GAAP-compliant financials.

This remote role collaborates with U.S.-based clients and an international team, requiring fluency in English and a strong accounting foundation. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance and 3+ years of experience, with hands-on expertise in ERP systems (NetSuite/QuickBooks) and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Fluent English is essential to work with U.S.-based clients and an international team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• At least 3+ years in an accounting role with familiarity in U.S. GAAP (IFRS a plus).
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (NetSuite/QuickBooks) is preferred.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills are required.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, well-organized, and clear communicator.

Responsibilities

• Maintain financial records, reports, and general ledger accounts.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and support the monthly close.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Manage documentation for accounts payable, treasury, and audits.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and support audits and tax requests.
• Collaborate with the Accounting Supervisor and cross-functional teams.
• Ensure reporting is accurate, timely, and compliant.

The Role

We’re looking for a Staff Accountant to join our growing Finance team. In this role, you’ll support day-to-day accounting operations, help close the books each month, assist with audits and tax processes, and ensure everything we do aligns with U.S. GAAP.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain financial records, reports, and general ledger accounts
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and support the monthly close

• Manage documentation for accounts payable, treasury, and audits

• Support external audits and tax-related requests
• Collaborate with the Accounting Supervisor and cross-functional teams

What We’re Looking For

• Fluency in English is essential — you’ll work closely with U.S.-based clients and an international team.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Experience: 3+ years in an accounting role; familiarity with U.S. GAAP required (IFRS is a plus)
• Systems: Hands-on experience with ERP systems, ideally NetSuite or QuickBooks
• Tools: Strong skills in Excel and Microsoft Office
• Profile: Detail-oriented, analytical, well-organized, and a clear communicator
