Fine Point Consulting, a boutique Accounting, CFO and HR services firm, is hiring a Staff Accountant to join our fun and high energy team. The staff accountant will handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll for clients, with timely processing and strong client interactions.

The position expects organization, willingness to help the team, and ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
• Strong technology skills using Microsoft Office, must be particularly adept with Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to multi-task and to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience working in a paperless environment.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
• Team player with a positive, "can do" approach.
• Prior experience with QuickBooks Online.
• Excited to learn about and utilize new technology.

Responsibilities

• Process client invoices and post customer payments, sales tax exemption certificate administration, preparation of sales tax returns.
• Process vendor bills, download and code credit card transactions, new vendor setup, W9 administration, and 1099 preparation.
• In-house payroll and payroll tax processing, new hire setup, coordination with client payroll providers, and recording of payroll-related transactions.
• Prepare account reconciliations.
