Sopra Steria Polska is seeking an experienced Microsoft SQL Server Administrator (Infrastructure Administrator) to join our team for a French client. The role requires commuting to Katowice and being located in the Silesian region. You will manage Windows Server and SQL Server environments, patching, backups, migrations, and automation with Ansible.

Qualifications

Experience with Windows Server administration and support.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2016.
Experience with infrastructure automation using Ansible.
Proven experience in patch management and system maintenance.
Hands-on experience with backup and restore procedures.
Experience planning and executing system and database migrations.

Responsibilities

Administer and maintain Windows Server and Microsoft SQL Server environments.
Perform system patching, upgrades, and security-related activities.
Manage backup and restore processes and support migration projects.
Automate tasks using Ansible.
Monitor infrastructure for stability and availability of production environments.
Provide 2nd Line Support per SLA requirements.
Manage user accounts and secure access to IT services.
Collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams on projects.
Create and maintain technical documentation and procedures.
Identify optimization opportunities and contribute to project estimations.
