Job summary

ING Hubs Poland is seeking a skilled SQL Server administrator to maintain MS SQL Server and Windows server environments, while automating tasks with PowerShell and CI/CD pipelines. You will ensure security, manage access rights, and handle tickets in English, contributing to production change planning and documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server administration in a production environment.
• Proficient with SQL Server 2016/2019/2022 including backup/restore, permissions, maintenance.
• Experience with high availability mechanisms, especially Always On Availability Groups and WSFC.
• Strong Windows Server knowledge: AD, DNS, GPO, certificates and service accounts.
• PowerShell skills and automation of administrative tasks.
• Ability to diagnose application and database issues, log analysis and performance issues.
• Knowledge of monitoring/logging tools such as SCOM, Elastic Stack, Kibana, Grafana, Open Telemetry, Prometheus.
• Experience handling incidents, problems and changes in production.
• Knowledge of security best practices for SQL Server and Windows Server.
• Independent, detail-oriented, accountable with good technical communication.
• English at B2+ level and willingness for shift work and on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• administer and maintain MS SQL Server and Windows server environments.
• automate tasks and manage CI/CD pipelines using PowerShell, Python, Azure DevOps, and Stonebranch UAC.
• ensure security compliance, manage access rights, and perform patching and audits.
• handle tickets (L1/L2 triage), communicate in English, and manage SLA/SLO.
• plan and implement changes (CHG), including in production environments; maintain documentation and runbooks.
