Job summary

Fortum in Gdańsk is seeking a Sourcing Manager to join the Strategic Sourcing team. The role focuses on Indirect and IT categories, delivering sourcing solutions and building strong supplier relationships.

You will lead RFx design, contract negotiations, and SRM/CLM activities for assigned suppliers, while ensuring governance and compliance across S2P processes.

Qualifications

• University degree is required.
• At least 3–9+ years of experience in sourcing.
• Strong knowledge of Indirect and/or IT sourcing.
• Experience in contract negotiations and SRM/CLM.
• Knowledge of legal contract terms and regulations in your category area.
• Excellent collaboration, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Fluency in English and Polish is required.
• Experience from an international work environment is a plus. Willingness to travel.
• Hybrid work model with 2 days per week in the office.

We are looking for a Sourcing Manager to join our Strategic Sourcing team in Gdańsk.

In this role, you will focus on Indirect and IT categories, working closely with business stakeholders and suppliers to deliver effective sourcing solutions and build strong supplier relationships.

About the role

The purpose of this role is to support business stakeholders and projects, lead sourcing activities from RFx design through contract negotiations, and secure effective sourcing outcomes. You will also lead SRM and CLM activities for assigned suppliers and contribute to category strategy and execution.

Main responsibilities:

• Provide support for business stakeholders and projects in using market and supplier capabilities effectively and in planning sourcing activities accordingly.
• Manage sourcing events across varying complexity levels and categories.
• Own sourcing planning, RFx design, execution, and business stakeholder communication.
• Lead supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract award processes.
• Ensure contract handover for the business and S2P for spend channel implementation.
• Ensure compliance with sourcing processes, governance, regulations, and audit trail.
• Actively participate in category teamwork, ensuring information flow needed for category creation and strategy execution.
• Lead SRM and CLM activities for assigned suppliers in collaboration with procurement and business stakeholders.

About you

We are looking for sourcing professionals who enjoy working closely with stakeholders and suppliers and take ownership of sourcing activities from planning to execution. You are comfortable operating in a dynamic environment and managing sourcing cases with varying levels of complexity.

• Relevant university degree.
• At least 3–9+ years of experience in sourcing.
• Strong understanding of supplier base, products, or services within Indirect and/or IT sourcing categories.
• Experience in contract negotiations and SRM / CLM processes.
• Knowledge of legal contract terms and relevant regulations in your category area.
• Strong collaboration, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Fluency in English and Polish is required.
• Experience from an international work environment is a plus.
• Willingness to travel.
• We work in a hybrid model and expect you to be present at the office two days per week.
