Job summary

GFT Technologies SE in Poland seeks a senior cloud architect to shape and deliver cloud-based data solutions. You will define target architectures, security models, and integration patterns, providing architectural leadership across the project lifecycle.

You will work with business and technology stakeholders to ensure scalable, well-governed data platforms on Google Cloud, using BigQuery, Cloud Storage, IAM, and IaC tools like Terraform. Fluent English is required; banking experience is a plus.

Type of contract: Employment contract

Salary range: 24500 - 37500 PLN gross

What will you do?

You will play a key role in shaping and delivering cloud-based data solutions, working closely with business and technology stakeholders to define target architectures, security models, integration patterns and operational frameworks. As a trusted technical advisor, you will provide architectural leadership throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring scalable, secure and well-governed solutions aligned with business and technology objectives.

Your tasks

• Design end-to-end solution architecture for cloud-based data platforms and services
• Define secure data onboarding, integration and sharing patterns
• Lead architecture discussions with stakeholders across business and technology teams
• Design GCP-based services including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, IAM and networking components
• Define infrastructure-as-code and automation approaches
• Ensure compliance with security, governance and data management requirements
• Support technical decision-making during the implementation phase
• Provide architectural guidance to engineering and platform teams

Your skills

• 8+ years of experience in solution architecture or cloud architecture roles
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience designing enterprise data platforms and data integration solutions
• Knowledge of BigQuery, Cloud Storage, IAM, networking and security architecture
• Experience with infrastructure as code, preferably Terraform
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud automation practices
• Understanding of enterprise security, governance and compliance requirements
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Fluent English

Nice to have

• Experience in banking or financial services
• Knowledge of data products or data governance frameworks
• Experience working within large enterprise cloud transformation programmes
• Familiarity with DataOps and platform engineering concepts
