Job summary

Rockwell Automation is a global technology leader seeking a software engineer to develop, maintain, and support manufacturing business systems, ensuring high performance and reliability across smart connected operations. This role emphasizes continuous improvement of IIoT solutions.

You will implement and enhance DevOps processes, automate deployments and tests, and collaborate with product owners, business analysts and global teams to design, develop, test, and integrate solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in software development or Industry 4.0 solution development.
• Experience with Python, Java, or a similar language.
• Experience in preparing work estimates, including assumptions, constraints, and dependencies.
• Experience in creating and executing unit tests and automated tests.
• Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies on the job.

Job Description

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and support manufacturing business systems to ensure high performance and reliability
• Support system deployments and continuously improve IIoT/Industry 4.0 solutions for smart connected operations
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, system, and infrastructure issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
• Implement and enhance DevOps processes, including automation of deployments and testing
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and global teams to design, develop, test, and integrate solutions

The Essentials - You Will Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• At least 3 years of experience in software development or Industry 4.0 solution development and implementation
• Experience with programming in Python, Java, or a similar language
• Experience in preparing work estimates, including assumptions, constraints, and dependencies
• Experience in creating and executing unit tests and automated tests
• Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies on the job

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

• Experience in designing, developing, and coordinating application development focused on Digital Manufacturing solutions (e.g., Digital Twin, Optimization)
• Experience with AI/ML technologies such as LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Scikit-learn, or similar
• Experience working in Industry 4.0 or smart manufacturing environments
