Job summary

Rockwell Automation in Katowice, Poland, is offering a paid Embedded Software Intern role. Work with a collaborative engineering team, focusing on C/C++ programming, networking standards, and embedded systems in an international environment.

The position is part-time (20 hours per week) with a hybrid work model, starting in October, reporting to the Manager, Embedded Software. You’ll learn, develop practical skills, and contribute to automation projects while gaining hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• Fundamentals of C/C++ programming.
• Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Language skills: English (B2).
• Legal work and stay permits in Poland.
• Student status (for at least 6 months).
• Interest in building a long-term career with the company.
• Understanding of basic concepts in industrial automation and embedded systems.
• Basic knowledge of network protocols and their application in automation.

Responsibilities

• Learn and support programming in C/C++ within Unix/Linux environments.
• Help implement network standards, especially in industrial automation.
• Participate in team activities, including daily project meetings.
• Support analysis and troubleshooting of technical issues under the guidance of experienced engineers.
• Prepare simple scripts or helper tools to support integration and automation processes (after training).

Job Description

Are you looking for a paid internship in Embedded Software Development?

Are you interested in working in an international environment and supporting a dynamic engineering team? If you're available for 20 hours per week, we're looking for you!

As an Embedded Software Intern, you will be part of a collaborative and experienced engineering team. You'll work with specialists who value innovation, teamwork, and continuous learning. This paid internship offers a chance to develop practical skills in C/C++ programming, networking standards, and embedded systems.

We offer you flexible working hours with a hybrid work model based in Katowice, Poland. Internship starts in October.

You will report to the Manager, Embedded Software.

Your Responsibilities

The Essentials - You Will Have

The Preferred - You Might Also Have

• Academic experience or personal projects in C/C++ programming.
• Familiarity with Agile/Safe methodologies.
