Job summary

Belvedere in Warsaw seeks a Software Engineering & SRE Lead to drive design, development and operational excellence of enterprise platforms. You will blend software engineering with SRE practices to deliver reliable, scalable cloud solutions in a hybrid environment.

You will mentor teams, shape SDLC processes, build automated testing and CI/CD pipelines, and contribute to incident management and post-incident reviews to improve system performance.

They are seeking an experienced Software Engineering & Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Lead to join their team in Warsaw. This contract role offers you the opportunity to shape the technical direction of enterprise platforms whilst working with modern cloud technologies and leading initiatives that directly impact system reliability and performance.

Position Overview

As Software Engineering & SRE Lead, you will play a critical role in driving the design, development and operational excellence of enterprise technology solutions. You will combine strong software engineering fundamentals with SRE expertise to build and maintain highly reliable, scalable platforms. This position requires you to lead end-to-end SDLC processes, implement automated testing strategies, and establish reliability practices that ensure optimal system performance. Your work will directly influence the quality, velocity and resilience of technology solutions that support essential business operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy high-quality software solutions following modern engineering best practices
• Drive end-to-end SDLC processes including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and production support
• Develop and implement automated testing frameworks and strategies to improve software quality, reliability and release velocity
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration, automated testing and continuous delivery
• Apply SRE principles to improve system reliability, scalability, availability and operational efficiency
• Establish and monitor SLIs, SLOs and error budgets to ensure service performance and reliability objectives are met
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, security and operations teams to streamline software delivery and production support
• Lead root cause analysis, incident management and post-incident reviews to drive continuous improvement
• Champion observability practices through monitoring, logging, alerting and performance analysis
• Mentor engineering teams on software engineering best practices, test automation and reliability engineering

Requirements

• 6-8 years of experience in software engineering and Site Reliability Engineering roles
• Strong expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud computing platforms
• Proven experience with Google Cloud platform services and solutions
• Deep knowledge of DevOps practices, including Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
• Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code
• Demonstrated ability to apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to production systems
• Strong understanding of SDLC processes and software development best practices
• Extensive experience developing and implementing automated testing frameworks
• Proven track record building and operating highly reliable, scalable and resilient platforms
• Experience establishing and monitoring SLIs, SLOs and error budgets
• Strong skills in incident management, root cause analysis and post-incident reviews
• Expertise in observability practices including monitoring, logging, alerting and performance analysis
• Ability to mentor and guide engineering teams on technical best practices
• Excellent collaboration skills working across development, infrastructure, security and operations teams
