Job summary

Redpanda Data is seeking a software engineer to own customer-facing surfaces and cloud-marketplace integrations from our Warsaw office. You will contribute to sign-up, sign-in, account management, and billing experiences, while collaborating with UX designers and AI tooling to accelerate delivery.

You'll join a new, cross-functional cloud team, evolving the services powering customer journeys and ensuring reliability across AWS, GCP, and Azure integrations.

Qualifications

About The Role

We're looking for a software engineer to own customer-facing surfaces and cloud-marketplace integrations on a new Warsaw-based team. You'll work across sign-up and sign-in, account management, and AWS, GCP, and Azure marketplace integrations, owning well-scoped pieces with support from senior engineers, growing toward end-to-end ownership, and evolving the organisation management parts of our customer-facing frontend (with our UX designers and AI tooling to assist). You'll come up to speed on what we have today and help drive these surfaces forward so customers have a smooth, confident experience.

The Team

You'll Join a Newly-formed Small, Cross-functional Cloud Team Based In Our New Warsaw Office That Owns The Services Powering The Customer-facing Journeys At The Heart Of Redpanda Cloud. This Is How Every Customer Registers, Manages Their Account, And Pays For What They Use. The Team Owns These Critical Workstreams

• Register / Sign-up / Sign-in
• Account management
• Usage-based billing (UBB) via Metronome
• Credit-card management for self-service customers via Stripe
• Cloud marketplace integrations (AWS, GCP, and Azure with more to come) for UBB, public offers, and private offers

The team is adopting ownership of these areas from the teams that built them, will come up to speed on what we have today, and then drive a product and technical roadmap that gives our customers confidence whenever they interact with our services. It's cross-functional and works closely with design, product, and finance. We hire for the skill mix across the team, not every skill in every person.

Everybody at Redpanda is reinventing how they work using the latest AI tooling and workflows.

You Will

• Build and own the backend and frontend for customer-facing journeys, including sign-up, sign-in, account management, and billing surfaces
• Proactively ensure that services are patched, maintained, and operating correctly
• Contribute to and grow ownership of the public cloud marketplace integrations (AWS, GCP, and Azure) including public and private offers
• Implement and operate well-scoped backend services and third-party integrations
• Help adopt existing systems from other teams, learn them, document them, improve their reliability
• Write clear, tested, observable code which uphold security + privacy of customer data, and leverage modern AI tooling to accelerate development and delivery
• Participate in on-call after you’ve ramped up

You Have

• Solid software engineering fundamentals and a track record of owning development of features and components and delivering them reliably
• Working backend proficiency in Go (or a comparable systems language and are willing to ramp up) and a foundation in public cloud infrastructure (at least one of AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Frontend familiarity - you are comfortable building and maintaining customer-facing web UIs (React / TypeScript or similar) with support from UX designers and the latest AI tools
• Production experience using AI-assisted software development workflows (e.g. Claude Code, Codex, etc) to accelerate prototyping, delivery, and operations
• Good written and verbal communication in English and can work effectively in a globally distributed, async environment, collaborating with product management, design, finance, and customer-facing stakeholders

Strong Plus

• Cloud marketplace integration experience (AWS, GCP, and/or Azure)
• Frontend depth (React / TypeScript) for customer-facing UIs
• Experience developing or owning signup and login flows and identity provider integration
• Exposure to billing and payment services like Metronome and Stripe

Nice To Have

• Experience building or operating large-scale production SaaS platforms
• Experience with streaming platforms as a user or provider
