Job summary

Sopra Steria Polska is seeking an experienced Senior Windows Engineer to join a Norwegian client project. The role requires commuting to our Katowice office and working in the Silesian area.

You'll design, implement, and maintain Windows Server environments, manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and GPO, automate tasks with PowerShell, and support ITIL processes. Experience with VMware/Hyper-V and security hardening is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining Windows Server environments in enterprise-scale infrastructures.
• Troubleshooting AD, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Windows Server environments following best practices, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability.
• Administer and troubleshoot core Windows services (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO), resolving complex issues through root cause analysis.
• Provide 2nd and 3rd line support within ITIL processes, including incident, problem, and change management.
• Execute patching, upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle management while maintaining system stability and compliance.
• Monitor, optimize, and secure infrastructure using enterprise tools, ensuring performance, capacity planning, and adherence to security standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and automate operational tasks using scripting and IaC tools to improve efficiency and reliability.
