Job summary

Altimi is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a project focusing on embedded audio systems and speech processing. You will design and implement components of the Windows audio stack, including drivers and APOs, and collaborate on AI model deployment on PCs.

The role supports remote work with occasional travel (3–5 days). You will work with WASAPI, WDK, PortCls/ACX and ONNX/DirectML/QNN, contributing to HLK/WHQL certification and real-time DSP development.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with the Windows audio stack.
• Experience developing audio drivers (WDK, PortCls and/or ACX).
• Knowledge of APO and WASAPI.
• Experience with the HLK/WHQL process.
• Proficiency in C/C++.
• Experience with real-time DSP.
• Willingness to travel occasionally (3–5 days).

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing APOs (Audio Processing Objects).
• Building virtual microphones and audio drivers.
• Working with WASAPI, WDK, and PortCls/ACX.
• Preparing solutions for HLK/WHQL certification.
• Implementing real-time DSP.
• Integrating and running models using ONNX/DirectML/QNN.
