Job summary

Altimi is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Windows Audio to join a project for an EU-based company in embedded audio systems. You will design and implement Audio Processing Objects, build virtual microphones and drivers, and ensure compatibility with WASAPI, WDK, PortCls/ACX while running AI models securely on PCs.

The role offers remote or hybrid work options and requires occasional travel (3–5 days). You will engage with HLK/WHQL certification and real-time DSP implementations for

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with the Windows audio stack.
• Experience developing audio drivers (WDK, PortCls and/or ACX).
• Knowledge of APO and WASAPI.
• Experience with HLK/WHQL process.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing APOs (Audio Processing Objects).
• Building virtual microphones and audio drivers.
• Working with WASAPI, WDK, and PortCls/ACX.
• Preparing solutions for HLK/WHQL certification.
• Implementing real-time DSP.
• Integrating and running models using ONNX/DirectML/QNN.
