Senior Transport Planner Team Leader

Job summary

HEINEKEN Kraków is seeking two Team Leaders to join our growing team. You will act as both business leader and people leader, guiding transportation planning and execution across OpCos within your cluster and collaborating with internal and external partners.

You will oversee daily transportation activities, ensure SLAs are met, and drive continuous improvement with CI/CPI teams. A strong background in Supply Chain and people management is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Management, Business, Logistics, or related field.
• At least 5 years of work experience in Supply Chain.
• At least 2 years of experience managing and leading a team.
• Language skills: English required; second language advantageous (Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian).
• Good understanding/experience with OTM.
• Understanding of transportation rules, regulations, standard processes and business policies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to engage with all levels.
• Experience in multinational organizations and cross-cultural collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage transportation Planning & Execution for all OpCos within the cluster.
• Partner with external customers and OpCo transportation organization and customer service.
• Ensure adherence to SLAs and resolve issues at the OpCo side.
• Manage team of Planners, review resources and improve utilization.
• Collaborate with Continuous Improvement team to implement operational and system improvements.
• Evaluate cluster operational planning performance.
• Review and ensure shipments are planned and delivered successfully.
• Oversee daily execution of transportation planning activities including load consolidation, mode shift, and route optimization.
• Optimize activities based on planners' inputs and CI/CPI feedback.

The Team Leader role has dual responsibility as business leader and people leader. As business leader ensures operational delivery according to functional standards and effective collaboration with internal and external clients and stakeholders. As people leader supervises team and its operational deliverables, supports employee’s development, builds engagement and fosters collaboration across streams.

Your responsibilities would include:

• being responsible to oversee and manage transportation Planning & Execution functions for all OpCos within their specific cluster, acting decisively and engage effectively with key stakeholders
• partnering effectively with external customers and OpCo transportation organization, customer service representatives and wider supply planning organization
• being responsible for adhering to SLAs, resolving any issues/challenges at the OpCo side
• managing team of Planners by reviewing and improving resources on a continuous basis
• liaisingwith Continuous Improvement team to support implementation of operational and system improvements
• evaluatingcluster operational planning performance
• reviewingand ensures shipments have been successfully planned and successfully delivered
• overseeingdaily execution of transportation planning activities including load consolidation, mode shift, and optimization of transportation routes
• seeking to optimize transportation and execution activities based on transportation planners’ inputs, together with CI/CPI team.

You are a good match if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Management, Business, Logistics, or related field
• at least 5 years of workexperience in Supply Chain
• at least 2 years of experience managing and leading a team
• language skills: English (required), second language is advantageous (preferred: Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian)
• good understanding/experience with OTM
• understanding of transportation rules, regulations, standard processes and business policies
• skills to effectively communicate to all levels (including OpCos) demonstrating expertise, professionalism and confidence
• ability to develop and manage client and carrier relationships
• professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• proficiency with Microsoft Office
• experience working for a multinational organization and working with colleagues internationally.
