A Day in the Life

The Global Information Technology (IT) organisation enables Medtronic teams around the world through digital technologies, infrastructure, collaboration platforms, and technical services. As part of the event production and technical events function, this team delivers in-person, hybrid, and virtual experiences that support business priorities, executive engagement, customer education, and global collaboration through advanced audiovisual and event technologies. This position may work remotely within Czechia/Poland or onsite at a Medtronic facility in Czechia/Poland. The role requires approximately 25% travel, including domestic and international travel to support events, venue assessments, production activities, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical planning and execution of global in-person, virtual, and hybrid events, ensuring successful delivery of event objectives and attendee experiences
  • Manage event production technologies including audio, video, lighting, live streaming, webcast, broadcast, and hybrid event platforms
  • Oversee relationships with external production companies, event technology providers, venues, agencies, and vendors to support event delivery and service quality
  • Design and manage signal routing, technical workflows, and production operations across complex event environments
  • Coordinate event logistics and technical planning activities including show flow development, venue assessments, staffing assignments, transportation, and production schedules
  • Organise and support video production and broadcast activities that enable content creation, live delivery, and future digital media initiatives
  • Identify and evaluate emerging event technologies and production best practices to enhance audience engagement and event effectiveness
  • Provide technical guidance to internal teams, vendors, and event staff while maintaining event production equipment, inventory, and operational readiness
Required Knowledge and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of experience in audiovisual support, event production, technical event operations, information technology support, or a related technical environment
  • Experience supporting live, hybrid, virtual, webcast, streaming, or broadcast event technologies
  • Experience troubleshooting audiovisual systems, production technologies, and technical event environments
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time, including international travel as required
  • Fluency in German or French language is highly advantageous
  • Experience supporting large-scale events and conferences, with expertise in audiovisual, video production, live streaming, or broadcast technologies is preferrable as well as experience working with external vendors and global teams, and proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite
