Job summary

Luxoft Poland in Gdańsk is seeking a hands-on Technical Lead to own the end-to-end architecture of a hardware‑assisted threat‑detection platform. You will coordinate across CPU telemetry, Windows systems software, ML inference, and partner SDK integrations.

You will mentor engineers, drive architectural decisions, and ensure measurable performance and security objectives are met, with on-site work in Gdańsk and cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive software, systems, platform, hardware, security, or machine‑learning engineering experience.
• Experience as Principal Engineer / Staff Engineer / Senior Staff Engineer / Technical Lead / Systems Architect or equivalent authority.
• Hands-on depth in at least one area: CPU/platform engineering; Windows kernel engineering; Endpoint-security or EDR architecture; ML systems.
• Experience documenting architecture decisions across components, engineering disciplines, or organizational boundaries.
• Experience leading a complex multi-disciplinary engineering effort from definition to validation.
• Experience defining measurable technical KPIs, performance budgets, quality gates, acceptance criteria, or engineering readiness criteria.
• Ability to evaluate system-level trade-offs involving performance, reliability, security, compatibility, maintainability, and delivery risk.
• Strong technical communication skills across engineering, partner, project-management, and executive audiences.
• Ability to mentor senior engineers, facilitate design reviews, resolve technical disagreements, and drive decisions to closure.
• Ability to remain hands-on in architecture reviews, debugging, prototyping, performance analysis, or other technically complex work.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical architecture of the hardware-assisted threat-detection platform, covering CPU telemetry collection, Windows components, ML inference, and SDK/API integration.
• Define the technical strategy, architectural boundaries, interfaces, and integration model across Lab, ML, and Real-Time workstreams.
• Lead cross-functional architectural decisions involving telemetry, Windows kernel/user-space, model inference, and performance.
• Establish and maintain technical quality standards, architecture principles, and design-review practices.
• Define measurable efficacy and performance objectives, including detection quality and latency.
• Lead trade-off evaluations between model quality, telemetry, performance, and complexity.
• Own the partner-facing SDK/API strategy, including versioning, diagnostics, and guidance.
• Coordinate with security-software integration partners and stakeholders across projects.
• Lead end-to-end validation gates across workloads, threat categories, and hardware platforms.
