Job summary

Luxoft in Gdansk is seeking a hardware validation engineer to join a team building a security platform around PMCs and on-chip ML. You will configure lab systems, develop automated test harnesses, and validate telemetry data across AMD platforms.

The role requires 3+ years in lab hardware validation, knowledge of CPU microarchitecture and performance tools, plus scripting and virtualization skills. Relocation to Gdansk is considered advantageous.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in lab or hardware validation engineering.
• Solid understanding of CPU microarchitecture concepts.
• Experience with performance monitoring tools like perf or similar.
• Proficiency in Python or similar scripting language for test automation and virtualization.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain AMD lab systems and isolated VM environments.
• Develop automated test harnesses to execute malware samples and capture CPU telemetry.
• Instrument lab systems to collect and validate hardware performance counter data.
• Provide labeled telemetry datasets to ML engineering teams.
• Execute functional and performance tests for kernel-mode PMU driver across AMD platforms.
• Document lab procedures, configurations, and asset lifecycle records.
• Support security-software partner lab engagements.
• Report hardware anomalies and telemetry issues with reproducible steps.
