Job summary

JoVE is seeking a Senior Talent & Organization Development Specialist to build and execute programs that strengthen employee development, career growth, talent and succession planning, and leadership capability across JoVE.

The role blends strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, defining job levels and progression while partnering with leaders to drive measurable improvements in performance and organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree.
• 5–7 years in HR or Organizational Development.
• Proven track record in Talent/OD initiatives with measurable outcomes.
• Experience with career architecture, talent reviews, succession planning or leadership/manager development.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Data-driven with ability to use metrics to improve programs.
• Bias for action and ability to drive initiatives to completion.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain career architecture frameworks across functions and roles.
• End-to-end design and delivery of live virtual and in-person workshops focused on talent and skill development.
• Support the rollout of JoVE’s core values and Leadership Principles.
• Define job levels, skills, competencies, experience, and progression criteria.
• Partner with leaders to design and execute development programs aligned with career paths.
• Build manager training on performance management, coaching, feedback, and KPI management.
• Develop initiatives such as targeted training, stretch assignments, mentoring, and structured development plans.
• Support talent review processes, including HiPo identification, talent assessments, and succession planning.
• Identify organizational talent gaps and build development initiatives to address them.
• Design and run employee recognition programs that celebrate performance and contributions.
• Define success metrics and use data to improve programs.
