Job summary

JoVE, the world-leading video platform for scientific research and education, is hiring an experienced Graphic Designer to join our in-house Marketing team. This role focuses on graphic design and marketing collateral, supporting teams with brand-consistent digital and print assets.

You will translate briefs into visual solutions, manage multiple projects, and apply AI-assisted workflows to speed production while upholding JoVE's brand standards.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in graphic and marketing design, with a portfolio across digital campaigns, social media, print collateral, and events.
• Strong understanding of layout, typography, visual hierarchy, composition, and brand systems.
• Proficiency in Canva as the day-to-day design tool.
• Expertise in Adobe Illustrator for booth graphics and large-format work.
• Working knowledge of HTML/CSS for layout troubleshooting and modification.
• Experience with HubSpot landing pages or similar CMS platforms is preferred.
• Able to use AI as a productivity tool while applying independent design judgment and brand guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Design and produce marketing collateral: flyers, brochures, social graphics, banners, and event materials.
• Adapt designs across formats, platforms, audiences, campaigns, and languages with brand consistency.
• Prepare print-ready artwork with bleed, trim, and color accuracy for production.
• Build and update HubSpot landing page sections using Rich Text modules, HTML, and CSS.
• Modify layouts with HTML/CSS and troubleshoot responsive or styling issues.
• Prototype landing pages visually using AI, then translate concepts into functional HTML/CSS.
• Identify opportunities to integrate AI into design and production workflows.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Studio, Brand, Events, Sales, and other teams, delivering on timelines.
• Translate marketing objectives into clear visual hierarchy and production requirements.
