Job summary

Hitachi, Ltd. in Kraków seeks a Senior System Test Team member to drive automated Python testing and ensure high-quality mission-critical communication systems.

You’ll develop test frameworks, implement functional and non-functional tests, and collaborate across developers, QA experts, product owners, and system architects. You will help expand the lab by installing equipment and advancing testing strategies while mentoring teammates in QA best practices, with English communication across

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc degree in IT, Telecommunication, Computer Science, Electronics or similar area.
• At least 5+ years of experience in Python testing.
• Strong knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks including Pytest and UI test automation frameworks (e.g. Playwright).
• Experience with Linux systems, Bash, Git, virtualization, containers, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Network management skills with TCP/IP, VLANs, SNMP/MPLS; testing network management software is a plus.
• Experience with laboratory test equipment is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently, solution-oriented, willingness to learn, and strong English communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform exploration tests and develop automated tests in Python.
• Implement functional and non-functional tests.
• Develop and automate test procedures and frameworks.
• Create test strategies and infrastructure aligned with project goals.
• Install and configure network equipment to support testing lab expansion.
• Collaborate with developers, QA experts, Product Owners, domain experts and system architects.
• Ensure traceability of test cases to requirements; maintain test plans and reports.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in testing processes and tools.
• Mentor team members in test methodologies across SAFe/SCRUM R&D teams.
• Focus on safety and integrity, acting responsibly for colleagues and business.
