Hitachi Energy seeks a QA Engineer to join a global team developing advanced energy applications, including power network algorithms. You will partner with software developers, researchers, and product management to deliver reliable, greener energy solutions.

The role emphasizes test automation with Python, CI/CD integration, and agile processes. Experience with Power Systems and relevant protocols is a plus. On-site in Kraków with attractive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
• Proven experience in test automation using Python.
• Willingness to develop expertise in Power Systems; prior knowledge or experience is a strong advantage.
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as OPC, IEC 60870-5-104, MODBUS, and IEEE C37.118 is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute comprehensive testing strategies based on business requirements and solution designs.
• Design, develop, and execute automated and manual test cases covering functional and non-functional requirements.
• Be part of a development team delivering customer-ready solutions.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to improve release quality.
• Work with physical laboratory equipment to validate real-life scenarios.
• Collaborate with developers to identify, investigate, and resolve software issues.
