Job summary

Schaeffler is seeking a skilled supplier risk professional to join our global finance team in Wroclaw. The role focuses on assessing supplier financial stability, monitoring risk, and delivering management-ready reports.

You will interact with suppliers, insolvency administrators, and internal stakeholders, driving risk mitigation actions and ensuring timely updates to leadership. Hybrid work arrangement in Poland is available.

Qualifications

• Completed studies in finance, controlling, business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Several years of professional experience in supplier risk management, financial analysis, procurement, supply chain finance, credit risk, controlling, or related roles.
• Advanced knowledge of financial analysis and solvency assessment.
• Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English (min. B2 level).
• Ability to communicate risk insights clearly to stakeholders.
• Strong organisational skills including sound business judgment, and assertiveness.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
• Experience with suppliers in manufacturing or global supply chain environment is an asset.
• Knowledge of German is a plus.
• Knowledge in auditing and consulting is advantageous.
• Familiarity with insolvency law is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assessing the financial stability of current and prospective suppliers using financial statements, credit data, market intelligence, and internal risk indicators
• Monitoring supplier financial performance and maintaining an up-to-date supplier risk profile and early warning system
• Recommending actions to reduce exposure to financially vulnerable suppliers and coordinating internal actions with interdisciplinary teams in case of high supplier risk or insolvency
• Preparing risk reports, dashboards, and executive summaries for management review
• Communicating with external stakeholders, including suppliers, insolvency administrators, other customers, and boards of creditors
• Providing regular reporting and updates to management
