Job summary

Optiveum is recruiting a DBA Engineer (SQL Server) to join a leading global investment bank project. You will administer SQL Server environments on Windows Server, automate tasks with PowerShell, and participate in on-call support for critical banking systems.

Hybrid work with 3 days per week at the client site in Wroclaw is required. The role requires 5–10 years of SQL Server DBA experience, strong SQL Server 2016+ knowledge, Windows Server administration, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of relevant experience as a SQL Server DBA.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2016+.
• Fluent English; Polish or EU citizenship, or a permanent residence/work permit valid for at least 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain and monitor Microsoft SQL Server 2016+ environments.
• Manage Windows Server hosts supporting the database platform.
• Automate routine DBA tasks with PowerShell scripting.
• Investigate and resolve database incidents and performance problems.
• Take part in the support rota, including on-call duties and weekend work.
