Job summary

BNY is seeking a Senior Specialist in SOX Control & Compliance to join our team in Wrocław, Poland. You will support the SOX/ICFR programme through control documentation, testing, evidence management, and stakeholder collaboration.

Responsibilities include testing key controls, updating narratives, and tracking remediation while ensuring audit readiness. Strong documentation, communication, and analytical skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Understanding of internal controls and financial reporting risk with controls testing experience.
• Strong documentation and testing accuracy with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a structured environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify anomalies and gaps.

Responsibilities

• Execute SOX/ICFR testing activities in line with methodology, timelines, and quality standards.
• Refresh process narratives, risk/control matrices, and flowcharts for assigned processes.
• Participate in walkthroughs with business/control owners to document process changes.
• Test design and operating effectiveness of key controls; document results in working papers.
• Track evidence requests, follow up with stakeholders, and maintain organized records for audit readiness.
• Identify exceptions or gaps and raise them for assessment.
• Support remediation tracking with action logs and closure evidence.
• Build strong relationships with business partners and team members to support delivery.
• Contribute to process improvements and standardization of testing/documentation.
