Job summary

Woodward, Inc. in Krakow seeks a Senior Internal Auditor with strong SOX experience to partner with global stakeholders across Europe, the USA, and Asia.

The role focuses on planning and executing SOX testing, with additional support for operational internal audits across Woodward’s locations. The ideal candidate will be fluent in German, English, and Polish, have 3–5 years in internal audit or related fields, and hold or pursue CIA/CPA/CISA credentials.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in internal audit, SOX compliance, or related field.
• Professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, or CISA are preferred.
• Experience supporting multinational environments and coordinating with global stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with USA-based Internal Audit team, third-party consultants and global stakeholders (USA, Europe, Asia).
• Perform end-to-end SOX testing, including walkthroughs, design and operating effectiveness, and documentation review.
• Assist with internal controls over financial reporting assessments, identify deficiencies, and support remediation.
• Prepare workpapers, test results, and findings in line with SOX and internal audit standards.
• Monitor and follow up on identified control gaps and remediation actions.
• Identify opportunities to improve SOX testing efficiency and control environment effectiveness.
• Assist with planning, scoping, and execution of operational internal audits at Woodward locations.
• Provide guidance to junior auditors and review their work for quality.
