Google LLC in Warsaw is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Site Reliability Engineering to design, build and operate reliable infrastructure and services at scale, focusing on uptime and performance.

You will work on large-scale distributed systems, contribute during on-call rotations, mentor teammates, and drive automation and tooling to reduce toil while delivering secure, efficient identity services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years of experience in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
• 2 years of experience leading projects and providing technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate software to enhance reliability and performance of Google Cloud services.
• Solve complex operational and reliability challenges through software engineering and automation.
• Develop deep technical expertise in areas such as large-scale distributed systems and authentication mechanisms.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to, resolve, and prevent incidents.

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) combines software and systems engineering to build and run large-scale, massively distributed, fault-tolerant systems. SRE ensures that Google Cloud's services-both our internally critical and our externally-visible systems-have reliability, uptime appropriate to customer's needs and a fast rate of improvement. • Design, build, and operate software to enhance the availability, scalability, efficiency, security, and latency of Google Cloud's most critical Identity services, with a focus on supporting AI/ML workloads.
• Solve complex operational and reliability challenges through software engineering and automation.
• Develop deep technical expertise in areas such as large-scale distributed systems, authentication protocols, key management, and failure domain isolation.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to, resolve, and prevent service incidents.
