Job summary

Google LLC in Poland is seeking software engineers to help build GenAI-powered developer tools and large-scale systems. You will own features end to end, collaborate with PMs, researchers, SREs, and other engineers, and contribute to design documents and reviews.

The role emphasizes versatility, leadership, and the ability to deliver robust, scalable solutions across the full stack as the company grows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience required.
• 5 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years of testing, maintaining, or launching software products; 1 year in design/architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain features for GenAI-powered developer tools, focusing on server-side code and middleware.
• Take end-to-end ownership of moderately complex projects or major features, from design through production.
• Collaborate with product managers, researchers, SREs, and engineers to translate requirements into robust technical specifications.
• Write and present design documents for features and system improvements; participate in reviews to uphold quality.
• Uphold software engineering best practices, emphasizing test coverage, reliability, performance, and maintainability.

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain the features and components for GenAI-powered developer tools, focusing on server-side code and middleware systems that interact with Google's latest LLMs.
• Take end-to-end ownership of moderately complex projects or major features, from technical design and scoping through implementation, launch, and production support.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, researchers, SREs, and other engineers to understand requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver robust and scalable solutions.
• Author and present detailed design documents for features and system improvements. Actively participate in and contribute to design and code reviews, ensuring high standards of quality and engineering excellence.
• Uphold and advocate for software engineering best practices within the team, with a focus on code quality, test coverage, system reliability, performance optimization, and maintainability.
