Job summary

Google Cloud is recruiting a Software Engineer to join the Cloud AI, DevTools Platform in Warsaw. You will build high-throughput backend services, shape designs, and deliver production-quality code that powers developers worldwide.

You will partner with product, data scientists, and cross-functional teams to drive architecture decisions, implement scalable systems, and mentor junior engineers while advancing AI-powered tooling for developer productivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of software development experience.
• 3 years testing/maintaining/launching software products; 1 year in design/architecture.
• Experience in software architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate reliable backend services and data pipelines in Go/SQL.
• Lead technical projects end to end with cross-team collaboration.
• Define telemetry, data contracts, and dashboards for product and leadership.
• Own core technical areas, review designs, and improve reliability and cost.
• Mentor engineers and raise engineering practices, using AI agents for ops.

• Design, build, and operate reliable, high-throughput backend services and data pipelines in Go and SQL that capture telemetry from Google's AI developer tools across consumer and enterprise APIs.
• Lead technical projects end to end, from design documents and cross-team alignment to implementation, launch, and production health, partnering with product managers, data scientists, and client teams such as Antigravity and Android Studio.
• Define telemetry schemas and data contracts, and build the metrics, dashboards, and datasets that product and leadership teams use to measure adoption, quality, and model performance.
• Own a core technical area of the platform: set its technical direction, review designs and code, and continuously improve its reliability, cost, and maintainability.
• Mentor other engineers and raise the bar on engineering practices, including using AI agents to automate operational work.
