Nava Public Benefit Corp. seeks a Senior Salesforce Engineer to design scalable Salesforce solutions and ensure seamless integration with enterprise systems. You will lead a team of engineers, partner with government clients, and apply DevOps practices to streamline workflows.

The role requires deep Salesforce expertise, strong communication, and a bias for action in a remote-first, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years designing and implementing scalable Salesforce solutions.
• Proficient in Apex, LWC, and Flows; strong integration skills.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with enterprise systems via REST/SOAP APIs, Mulesoft, ETL tools, or event-driven architectures.
• Background with CI/CD tools (Gearset, Copado, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Salesforce DX).
• Experience with other languages/frameworks (.NET, Python, Ruby on Rails).
• Knowledge of cloud infra (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Able to design user interfaces with Salesforce best practices.
• Able to think strategically about trade-offs and long-term impact.
• Ability to enforce governance, security, and scalability standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; reliable and detail-oriented.

Position summary

The Senior Salesforce Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing scalable, high-performing Salesforce solutions that meet current and future business needs. This role ensures seamless integration between Salesforce and enterprise systems while defining best practices and standards for development, deployment, and automation. This person leads a team of engineers, collaborates with government partners, and applies DevOps methodologies to streamline workflows. What you'll do

• Collaborate with government partners and other technology leaders to architect and design scalable and high-performing Salesforce solutions that meet current and future business needs
• Lead the architectural design of Salesforce implementations, ensuring best practices and technical excellence
• Define and enforce governance policies, security best practices, and scalability principles
• Ensure seamless integration between Salesforce and enterprise systems via APIs, middleware (e.g., Mulesoft), and event-driven architectures
• Provide guidance on Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce Flows
• Review technical documentation, perform code reviews, and ensure code quality
• Define best practices and standards for Salesforce development, integration, and deployment processes
• Implement automation strategies, including CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and testing frameworks for Salesforce applications
• Work in an agile manner to efficiently ship new features that meet user needs
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support production systems and investigate issues when they occur
• Take part in hiring activities (e.g., submitting referrals, conducting interviews, and attending interview debriefs), as neededCoach and mentor junior team members

Required skills

• 10+ years of experience designing and implementing scalable, high-performing Salesforce solutions
• Strong understanding of Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce Flows
• Proficiency in integrating Salesforce with enterprise systems via REST/SOAP APIs, Mulesoft, ETL tools, or event-driven architecture
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Gearset, Copado, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Salesforce DX
• Experience with one or more programming languages/frameworks outside of Salesforce (e.g., .NET, Python, Ruby on Rails)
• Experience in cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Strong understanding of user interface design best practices for Salesforce applications
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically around trade-offs and short-term vs. long-term benefits
• Ability to define and enforce governance policies, security best practices, and scalability principles

Compensation

$153,000 - $171,000 USD

Legal authorization to work in the United States

Ability to meet any other requirements for government contracts for which candidates are hired

Work authorization that doesn’t require visa sponsorship, now or in the future

May be subject to a government background check or security clearance, depending on the contract
