EducationSuperHighway is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a small engineering team on a high-impact project. You will help extend the integration layer, coordinate with payroll providers, and drive the platform toward a January 1, 2027 launch.

You will make architecture decisions, work on third-party integrations, and own parts of a multi-tenant system that serves employers and employees nationwide. The role starts as a contract with a strong path to full-time for the right candidate.

Formación

• 7+ years of full-stack engineering experience building production web applications.
• Early-stage startup experience, comfort with ambiguity, and experience building from 0 to 1 or expanding an early-stage system.

Responsabilidades

• Build on the existing API-first full-stack platform, extending it toward launch with the current engineer.
• Build direct integrations for providers and an aggregator, handle assisted provider connections and pending deductions.
• Maintain and extend a provider-agnostic integration layer for adding new payroll providers easily.
• Design enrollment flows and dashboards for employers and employees on a multi-tenant platform.
• Develop reliable background job pipelines with status tracking and error visibility.
• Support money movement and reconciliation with a payments provider and ledgering.
• Create compliant document workflows and year-end receipts; ensure data minimization.
• Protect sensitive employee/financial data with sound security practices.
• Make architecture decisions balancing speed and extensibility.
