Job summary

SimpleStudy seeks a cloud/DevOps engineer to join a remote European team. The role covers scripting, AWS, CI/CD, containerization, and infrastructure as code across a modern stack including Node.js, React.js, React Native, Next.js, Nest.js, Expo, Prisma, Tailwind, and AWS.

You will contribute to scalable deployment pipelines, production-grade observability, and cost optimization while collaborating with a lean, product-focused team. Remote in Europe with stock options available.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Bash and at least one of Python or TypeScript.
• Strong hands-on AWS experience (ECS/EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch).
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (or ECS).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation).
• Experience managing production databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, Sentry).
• Experience with Git version control and collaborative workflows.
• Bonus: mobile release pipelines (Expo EAS, app store deployment).
• Bonus: infrastructure cost optimization experience.
