Job summary

Volvo Group is seeking a senior software professional to design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using C#, .NET, Angular, and SQL Server. You will build REST APIs, optimize databases, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex requirements into robust solutions.

You will provide senior technical guidance, promote engineering best practices, and contribute to Agile delivery across the full software lifecycle in a global team environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5–7 years of proven software development experience with strong .NET stack.
  • Strong expertise in .NET, C#, EF, ASP.NET, MVC, Web API, REST APIs, and TDD.
  • Hands-on Angular experience and SQL Server design/optimization.
  • Solid understanding of design patterns, scalable systems, and maintainable code.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, maintain full-stack applications using C#, .NET, Angular, and SQL Server.
  • Build, test, debug, and optimize software for performance, scalability, security, and maintainability.
  • Design and implement REST APIs and front-end components for strong UX.
  • Optimize SQL Server databases via query design, indexing, and performance improvements.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, architects, and developers to translate requirements into robust solutions; provide senior technical guidance and promote agile delivery.

  • Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using C#, .NET, Angular, and Microsoft SQL Server
  • Build, test, debug, and optimize software solutions to ensure performance, scalability, security, and maintainability
  • Design and implement REST APIs and high-quality front-end components that support strong user experience
  • Optimize SQL Server databases through efficient query design, indexing strategies, and performance improvements
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, architects, and developers to translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions
  • Provide senior technical guidance, promote engineering best practices, and actively contribute to Agile delivery across the full software lifecycle

Your future team

You will join a collaborative and experienced team of developers dedicated to development of North American Master Data applications. We take ownership of the full lifecycle, from design through development, testing, delivery, and continuous improvement.

Who are you?

Must have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5 to 7 years of proven experience in software development with strong specialization in .NET technologies
  • Deep expertise in .NET, C#, Entity Framework, ASP.NET, MVC, Web API, REST APIs, and Test-Driven Development
  • Strong hands-on experience with Angular and extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including database design and optimization
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns, scalable system design, and best practices for maintainable software
  • Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, especially Scrum
  • Proven track record of leading technical projects from inception to deployment
  • Ability to communicate effectively across a global development team
