Job summary

AB Volvo, Digital Technology and Operations, seeks a Digital Product Area Owner in SAP Sales and Distribution to oversee digital product capabilities and align with Volvo Group strategy. You will collaborate with DTO and business units to shape a roadmap and ensure value delivery across the organization.

You will manage budgets, empower cross-functional teams, and drive transformation with a focus on quality, security and end-user value, while navigating a global, dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• University degree and several years of people leadership experience, with hands-on SAP configuration or development in SAP SD.
• Experience with Service Billing and SAP Variant Configuration is a plus.
• Strong cost, risk and compliance understanding for development and operations.

Responsibilities

The organization is managing over 40 SAP Solutions worldwide supporting Volvo divisions, covering almost a full scope of business processes from Sales, Manufacturing, Logistics and Finance as well as Services, Data Intelligence and Reporting and HR. Our SAP community in Volvo has already joined more than 700 SAP Solution and Technology Consultant globally, working in the international teams, more than 70 working in subsidiary in Poland.

We are looking for a DPAO to join our SAP VCE Sales team.

As the Digital Product Area Owner, you will strategically oversee the digital product capabilities in the area of SAP Sales and Distribution, and ensure alignment with the organization’s overall strategy. You will collaborate with other parts of the organization, both in DTO, with the different business units and Group Functions. We are an environment where ideas, thoughts and opinions can be shared. As the Digital Product Area Owner you will be a key in adding value by aligning strategy with competence capacity and methods to the expected transformation towards the targeted footprint.

• Develop the capabilities vision, strategy, goal & roadmap aligned with business priorities
• Manage budget and financial follow up for the area
• Manage cross team dependencies and support collaboration both within and outside area, and business partners
• Support overarching capabilities prioritization in one rhythm and contribute on roadmap planning
• Facilitate capacity management and resource allocation discussions across the area
• Actively work for teams’ empowerment, building the needed skills, competencies and trust for teams to take ownership of shared capabilities and cultivating agile mindset
• Strive for simplification, encourage waste reduction and continuous improvement
• Nurture collaboration, stimulate great conversation and transparency between stakeholders
• Secure that capabilities are developed and maintained in compliance within given architecture and securityguidelines, meeting required quality expectations until decommissioning
• Drive for capabilities development based on end-user, market trend and data analysis, understand the business and their end-users to evolve capabilities and make right priorities over its lifecycle
• Manage, as line manager, the professional development and support career development of the team members through coaching and performance feedback

Who are you?

To be successful in this position we believe you have a university degree and several years of experience in people leadership, with solid hands‑on experience in SAP configuration or development in SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) and Service Billing. SAP Variant Configuration experience will be an added advantage, since we intensely use this functionality for the construction equipment business.

You need to understand the cost, risks and compliance requirements associated with the development and operations to assess the benefit and value.

The right candidate will be able to think and act strategically but also to operate and implement change tactically when required, dealing effectively with ambiguity and managing changing priorities. To be successful in this role you have the experience and knowledge of how to handle a global technological transformation on a strategic level. This role requires solid communication and collaboration skills and a passion for leading, inspiring and developing people.
