Job summary

Softeq in Poland seeks a skilled backend engineer to build services and APIs using Python 3 and FastAPI, focusing on data access, automation, and scalable architectures. Qualifications

• Production Python 3 and FastAPI experience.
• Strong SQL and data access patterns.
• Databricks from the consumer side and SQL warehouses.
• OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, and API security knowledge.
• Relational databases Oracle/SQL Server drivers and clients.
• Docker and cloud hosting familiarity.
• CI/CD and testing in CI pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Builds services and APIs in FastAPI with data access and business logic.
• Designs API contracts and OpenAPI specifications.
• Implements access control and data isolation across services.
• Works on data ingestion from relational sources to analytic stores.
• Makes background jobs reliable with retries and idempotency.
• Owns performance on heavy queries with server-side pagination.
• Writes tests and participates in code review and release processes.
