Job summary

Akamai Technologies is seeking a Storage Engineering professional to design and maintain Akamai’s cloud storage platform within the Connected Cloud. You will help build scalable, secure storage solutions powering customer businesses.

You will design frontend applications and backend services, collaborate across platform services, and tackle complex performance challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent.
• Experience developing backend services using Python.
• Experience building modern web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript and frontend frameworks such as React.
• Good knowledge of HTTP, DNS, and TLS/SSL.
• Willingness to learn new frameworks and programming languages; strong communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design frontend applications and supporting API services for cloud management solutions.
• Integrate applications with platform services and downstream systems across Akamai’s cloud ecosystem.
• Troubleshoot complex technical challenges and improve application quality, maintainability, and performance.
